sustainability: This green hotel was built with local materials and nature
protection technologies were implemented , so the buildings are placed on
stilts about three feet off the ground to avoid interrupting the flow of water;
Also , the garbage is recycled , cold well water is used to cool the air
conditioning and the heat generated by it is used to heat water.
A desalination plant
is coated titanium and filters the water , avoiding the use of water from the
aquifers.
Since the park opened
, they have reforested about two acres of land with more than 50,000 plants .
There are 120 species of plants and 90 animals in its 60 acres of nature
preserve.
His staff continually
receives environmental education that includes waste management and
environmental contingency actions .
Hotel Description:
The place resembles an old hacienda with mahogany accents and Mexican marble.
Each suite has Egyptian cotton sheets , extra thick mattresses and a variety of
pillows to choose from. It has two pools , a luxury spa , Temazcal , three
rivers for swimming , eight restaurants and bars. His plan is all inclusive .
Acknowledgements: Was
recognized by the Mexican government as a " regional and national model
for sustainable tourism development " and has been recognized by World
Travel Awards. Devotes part of its resources to study local ecosystems.
Extra activities :
There are special tours that take you through mangrove forests , or you can
snorkel in one of its ten cenotes, visit the nearby equestrian center. Hire any
of the tours for nurseries or take courses and wine tasting tequila .

ReplyDeleteThe hotel is amazing.. The photos are fantastis and the hotel is in Rivera Maya..The hotel has so much activities to helps at enviroment.. I would like to be there.. If I won the lottery I would choose that hotel to holiday... but I don´t have money to buy a lottery ticket.. ):
Mmm with doubts!! Mexico has incredible places, We can´t believe why a lot of times the mexicans want to live in others places of the world wehen they do not to know their country. We should be pround of our heritage.

Well in Riviera Maya actually is very common that companies want to work with susteinable proyect because this help to the environment; is excellent becauste by means of we can conserve our resourses and obviously the planet.
